Are you ready to embark on your next adventure but feeling a bit overwhelmed by the thought of traveling with your little one? Fear not! We have the ultimate travel guide for you, inspired by none other than our very own Busy Benny Box.
When it comes to traveling with toddlers, we understand the challenges all too well. We have perfected the art of traveling long distances and want to share our top tips with you.
1. Pack the Busy Benny Snack Box: Our stainless steel snack box was actually ideated during a flight with our own toddler. We did not have the solution at the time, but since then, it has kept her busy and well-fed throughout our journeys. So, don't forget to pack your Busy Benny Box filled with healthy treats and the add-on activity set to keep your little one satisfied and engaged. It's truly a game-changer.
2. Plan ahead: Planning is key when traveling with kids. Try to schedule your flight around your child's sleep schedule if possible. If it's not, don't let them get overtired in hopes of them sleeping on the flight. You are better off with a happy child who doesn't sleep on the flight, than a cranky, overtired one who is miserable.
3. Burn energy ahead of the flight: If your flight is late in the day, you may want to hit the playground that morning. Or if you don't have the time beforehand, try to get in some extra steps at the airport. These scooter suitcases were a huge hit this last trip with our two kids. It allowed them to get their zoomies out before the overnight flight and as a bonus, they carried all of their carry-on items themselves for a change!
4. Entertainment is key: We suggest downloading your child's favorite movies or show on an ipad or tablet. They may opt to watch the tv on the airplane, but just in case it is out of service or doesn't have the shows your child likes, it's best to have a back up! A favorite art activity provides a nice break from screen time. Our Busy Benny activity set is also a good distraction and the dry erase markers and sticker clings can be used again and again on various surfaces.
5. Dress comfortably: Opt for layers for your child to ensure they are comfortable at all temperatures. They may be hot running through the airport, but the flight is often freezing. It's not a bad idea to bring a small blanket and favorite stuffy as well to ensure your kiddo is cozy on the flight. And lastly, an extra set of clothes is a must as well! Accidents, spills, you name it, we've seen it all.
Now that you have our ultimate travel guide, it's time to put it into action. Say goodbye to travel anxieties and hello to stress-free adventures with your little ones.
