What type of stainless steel is used?

For our products we use only the highest quality 204 grade stainless steel aka DIN 18/8 (18% chrome, 8% nickel, 74% steel). Of course neither lead, nor cadmium or other harmful substances are contained. The food packaged in our products therefore does not have any contact with chemicals or harmful substances.

What type of silicone is used?

Our lids are made of non-toxic, FDA Food Safe silicone.  

We chose silicone as the best material choice available for snap-on, leak-proof food container lids because it's long-lasting and free of estrogen-mimicking chemicals commonly found in plastics, like bisphenol-A (BPA).

Where are Busy Benny Boxes produced?

Busy Benny Boxes as well as our Stainless Steel Sporks are produced responsibly in India.

The employed workers receive a fair wage and, of course, no children are employed in the production facilities. The health and safety management is ISO-certified. This means that the protection of personnel and compliance with legal requirements have top priority. Among other things, working and break times must be regulated. Compliance with these conditions has been certified by the manufacturers.

The add-on activity sets are produced in the United States and China. 

Use

How can I make the locking clamps on my box tighter or looser?

The side locking clamps can easily be adjusted to your preferred tightness.  Slightly bend the clamp to tighten or loosen. 

Can Busy Benny products be used in the Microwave, Oven, Freezer or Grill?

Stainless steel products are not allowed to be used in the microwave.

They are also not designed to be used in the oven or on the grill as the material becomes extremely hot and there is a risk of being burned.

The containers can basically be used for freezing. However, we do not recommend it as frequent freezing can lead to material fatigue. This shortens the lifetime of the boxes. In addition, you should take care not to fill the frozen food too high so that the frozen food can spread without stretching the container. The frozen product can cause a very high pressure and deform the container significantly.

How can you use the add-on activity set?

Adults and Kids 3+, use and reuse the glue-free sticker clings on the Busy Benny Stainless steel snack box. They also will cling to any shiny metal, glass or window surface...hello, airplane and car windows!

The dry erase markers can be used on Benny Stainless steel snack box as well as on the reusable sticker clings.

Do not wash stainless steel products with removable sticker clings attached.

Both the Sticker clings and dry erase markers contain small parts, therefore they can be a choking hazard for children under 3 years. 

Care and Cleaning

Are Busy Benny Products Dishwasher Safe?

The stainless steel used is corrosion-resistant and therefore suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.  It can go on the top or bottom rack of the dishwasher.

The silicone lids can also go in the dishwasher, however top shelf is recommended or hand wash for product longevity.

Remove sticker clings and marker coloring prior to washing in the dishwasher. 

What should I not use to clean Busy Benny products?

Never use Bleach on stainless steel or silicone.  Bleach will stain and damage stainless steel, do not use cleaning sprays or solutions that contain bleach.

Never use steel wool or steel brushes. They will scratch the surface of your stainless steel and make it more susceptible to rusting and staining.

 

 

Ordering and delivery

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch via our website chatbox or email at info@busybenny.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

Why has my order been canceled?

We typically only cancel orders if there’s a problem with stock, or if you’ve asked us to cancel. Please accept our apologies if your order is canceled because of a problem at our end. We’ll always offer an alternative product and process your refund in full, as quickly as possible.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via info@busybenny.com we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

When will my order arrive?

Orders that require shipping within the U.S. will be delivered within three to ten business days, depending on your preferred shipping method. We are not currently shipping to countries outside of the U.S.

Please get in touch if your order hasn’t been delivered according to the expected timescales, and we will check your order status.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently only ship within the United States. 

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to despatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.

Returns

Can I return an item?

You can absolutely return your item to us, within 90 days after receiving it, as long as it’s undamaged, unused and contained in its original packaging. We offer free shipping on returns.

How do I return an item?

Please contact our customer service team via info@busybenny.com. Providing the return is within the 90-day cancellation period and meets our return criteria, we will issue you with a return note and shipping label by email. You will need to print this off and attach it to the packaging of the product when returning it to us. If you do not have the original packaging, you will need to arrange and pay for suitable packaging when returning an item.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via info@busybenny.com with the details. We’ll respond within 48 hours. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, in its original packaging with all labels attached.

How long does it take to return an item?

This depends on the carrier or shipping method that you choose when returning your item. Once we receive your return, we’ll notify you by email. We aim to process refunds within three days after receiving the item into our warehouse, but it can take several days for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund into your account, or onto your card.
